The CJCC has aggressively pursued grant funding to provide the seed money for implementing the programs it has developed or helped develop. Although many of these grants–especially the federal grants–are highly competitive, CJCC has been very successful in obtaining numerous grants over the years. Some of the keys to the CJCC’s success in obtaining grants include its multidisciplinary team approach approach to examining justice system issues, its focus on data-driven decision-making and and its adherence to evidence-based or evidence-informed solutions. As a result of these efforts, the Winona County CJCC has been instrumental in generating nearly $3.5 million in grant funds over the past 12 years!
